Autistic Me ("the app", "we") is a support app built for autistic people. We take your privacy seriously — especially because the app handles sensitive personal wellbeing information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

Account details — your email address and a username, used to sign you in and keep your data separate from other people's.
Wellbeing entries you create — mood and energy check-ins, sensory-load logs, planner tasks, and any notes you write. You choose what to record.
Co-pilot messages — if you use the AI co-pilot, the messages you send (and, where relevant, a short summary of your recent entries) are processed to generate a reply.

How your data is used

Your entries are used only to provide the app's features to you — showing your history, surfacing patterns, and powering the co-pilot. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI processing

The co-pilot and communication-script features send your message (and a brief, relevant summary of your own data) to a third-party AI model provider purely to generate a response, which is returned to you. We do not use these messages to train models, and we choose providers that do not train on submitted data on the plan we use. If you do not wish to use AI features, simply don't use the Co-pilot or AI script generator.

On-device data

Some data — including the optional Co-pilot "Memory mode" history — is stored only on your device and never leaves it unless you send a message. You can clear it at any time from within the app.

Where data is stored

Account and entry data is stored on our own servers in the EU. Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Your rights (GDPR)

Access & portability — you can view your data in the app and request a copy.
Deletion — you can delete your account from within the app, which removes your personal data. You can also request deletion by email.
Correction — you can edit or remove your entries at any time.
Withdraw consent — stop using AI features, or delete your account, at any time.

Data retention

We keep your data only while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed.

Children

Autistic Me is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
